Despite the recent pullback in crypto prices, amazing things are happening behind the scenes.
Blockchain entrepreneurs and coders are hard at work building the infrastructure necessary for a robust alternative financial system.
Today, we’re going to analyze important recent news items and breakthroughs.
Bitcoin currently maxes out at around seven transactions per second. The Lightning Network (LN) allows it to increase to thousands of transactions per second, with near-instant settlement. LN accomplishes this by taking transactions off the blockchain and settling them later in bulk.
This tech may allow bitcoin to compete with traditional payment processors such as Visa and PayPal. It will take time to perfect this new payment network, but LN has the potential to revolutionize how cryptocurrency is used. Many other coins have announced plans to build similar improvements.
Binance launched only last year, but it has become the highest-volume crypto exchange in the world, with trading volume of around $1.5 billion per day. Currently based in Hong Kong, Binance recently announced that it will be moving to Malta. The small Mediterranean island has crypto- and fintech-friendly laws.
Malta’s prime minister even personally welcomed Binance to Malta on Twitter.
Binance says the move will also allow it to add “fiat trading” to its platform by partnering with local banks. Currently, Binance is a “crypto only” exchange, but the addition of fiat trading will allow it to become a major on-ramp into the crypto market.
Cboe Global Markets, which trades bitcoin futures, sent a letter to the SEC encouraging it to allow the introduction of bitcoin ETFs.
At least six companies are attempting to get bitcoin funds approved, but so far the SEC has denied their applications.
The demand for a publicly traded bitcoin vehicle is certainly there, but the SEC has been twiddling its thumbs for a while now. Let’s see how long it can hold out against the pressure.
Coinbase, the largest U.S. crypto exchange, has announced that it will be adding support for ERC20 tokens. In a blog post, Coinbase wrote, “This paves the way for supporting ERC20 assets across Coinbase products in the future, though we aren’t announcing support for any specific assets or features at this time.”
In essence, this means that Coinbase is planning to add more altcoins to its platform. This will drive more interest and altcoin buying. Now the speculation about which assets Coinbase will add next begins…
Exchanges continue to offer new trading “pairs” in fiat currencies (dollar, euro, yen, etc.). Major player Bitfinex just added new fiat trading pairs for EOS, NEO, IOTA, bitcoin and Ethereum.
Fiat trading pairs are how money enters the crypto world, and it’s not easy to accomplish due to anti-money-laundering laws. More fiat trading pairs means more money entering the system.

“I am absolutely loving CI and have put a lot of time and effort into it, I have every faith in the program and try to always stay positive. But i have a question that i feel lots of other people may be afraid to ask and in the interest of transparency feel it needs to be answered. In light of what is happening with Trafficmonsoon which is a rev share company can anyone high up tell us how CI is any different and is the same thing likely to happen to us?. Sorry to ask this but i feel it is something that needs to be answered to put peoples mind at rest.” – Roger
“I understand you concern but I feel I have answered this question many times. We have corporate advert accounts that bring revenue in. TM did not and that is why they were flagged as a PONZI scheme by the SEC. Our funds are kept in offline secure wallets and no person with the company has the power to remotely access and transfer funds without the proper details of the respective member to whom the funds must be delivered, thereby leaving a clear digital footprint. Bottom line is, no one is getting their hands on our members money and not all our money comes from our members.” – Tara #100%Legitrevshare
Dismissing the court case filed against Traffic Monsoon from The SEC.
Traffic Monsoon members,
This is a formal petition to save Traffic Monsoon (http://trafficmonsoon.com) as a rightful advertising company from the law suit against Charles Scoville and the business from the (SEC) Security Exchange Commission starting on 27th July 2016.
The SEC claims that Traffic Monsoon is a pure ponzi based site and have continued to contact members of our business for the passed 6-12 months asking for their experience with the advertising website and company that now has offices located and joined with JP Morgan as a fully registered company in The USA. In the words of one of our most humble members of Traffic Monsoon:
” The SEC does this to all businesses that grow where both huge amounts of money, bank transfers and tax is called in to concern. They will continue to hold, invest and use funds to their own advantage, hoping to win a case where without support of both the members of Traffic Monsoon and legal help will result in a very bad outcome ”
-David Miller, Traffic Monsoon member and Lawyer with experience of over 18 years in court cases filed by the SEC.
The Security Exchange Commission’s intentions may well be to help members and we in no way shape or form are denying their intentions, however the members of Traffic Monsoon have a right to voice their opinion about the business and this will be used in the court case FOR THE MEMBERS.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
If you are reading this petition then you agree to sign THIS PETITION recognising TRAFFIC MONSSON as an ADVERTISING BASED PLATFORM and you ‘The reader’ fully accept that Traffic Monsoon offers a percent of sales that can change as any moments notice and is in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM A PONZI SCHEME.
If you fully agree to this STATEMENT above, sign the petition and state WHY you have signed in favor of Traffic Monsoon.
The message from Charles Scoville after The SEC issued the court order and froze Traffic Monsoon’s funds, shortly after speaking with Charles about a possible agreement the Security Exchange Commission took down the Traffic Monsoon website.
” The SEC filed a lawsuit. We’ll stand up against their claims in a court of law. Whatever is going on we’ll get to the bottom of it.
There’s no promised “returns” as I have always said, and the website and my videos doesn’t say anything of the sort.. I’ve never guaranteed 10% returns.. only that as we sell ad service people who click ads in the traffic exchange can qualify to share in revenues up to a maximum of $55 .. without any time frame affixed whatsoever.
People had been circulating fake checks using bank account and routing number info provided online.. I moved the funds out from the business account into my personal account to avoid those from clearing, also– I intended to send those funds to payza as the note on that transfer indicates. I just couldn’t make that large of a transfer to pay people what they had earned until I was able to go into a chase branch. I didn’t pay myself that money. I was positioning that money to be sent to payza, but I wasn’t given a chance to do that because I hadn’t been able to go into a chase branch since I was out of the country.
I was definitely sharing profit margins with people as I have outlined. No investment is offered on traffic monsoon as it clearly states. No promise of returns — only promise of ad service, with an explanation that people can click through ads and qualify to share in the revenues, which couldn’t possibly be guaranteed.
I was just about to fly to Utah to make that transfer and surprise everyone with an early release to some of the positions and balances. ”
Thank you for the taking the time to read and potentially sign this petition for Traffic Monsoon, I’d like to thank Charles, David, William, Edward and all those who came together to create this petition and we appreciate all members patience and also the support that Charles has had the last week, he is very blessed to have so much support and he more than anyone is very pleased to have you here on this petition with us.
